I Wish You a Smutty Christmas...

...and a Kinky New Year!!!!!

Having read all three of the books in the Smutketeers Kinky Christmas Carol, I have to say that they are going to be a new holiday tradition for me, and I recommend them for anyone who is tired of the same old Christmas stories, and has an adventurous spirit where their reading pleasure is concerned.

Book 1 in the Smutketeers Kinky Christmas Carol

Getting Scrooged

Blinded to the present…

Holly Knight doesn’t have time for Christmas. As the head of Knight Enterprises in Chicago, she doesn’t have time for anything, not even a personal life—other than her brief, secret liaisons with men who remain strangers. Until a new stranger comes to town…
Ebenezer Hall is a ‘closer’. His job: negotiate a merger with a woman who is as notorious for being a hard-ass as he is for being a charmer no one can resist—and he’s not above mixing business with pleasure as long as it’ll get him what he wants.
The chemistry is sizzling hot, and things get even hotter when Ben’s friends and long-time lovers Justin and Kit arrive in Chicago. Three gorgeous men are even more exciting than one, and Holly’s body is sated in ways she’s never even dreamed of. But she can’t allow herself to be distracted for long—her priority is always business…and protecting her heart.
Can an infamous playboy and a hard-hearted corporate mogul ever admit to their heart’s desires? Or will it take a little holiday magic for them to realize that all they want for Christmas is each other?
Warning: Contains all ingredients for the perfect kinky holiday: Three men demonstrating blow-job techniques—on each other—because the author couldn’t resist. Neither can Holly. Neither will you. A little sensual power play, because Ben can’t resist. Neither can Holly. Or Justin. Or Kit. Put it all together with some Christmas magic and mix—vigorously. Served hot. Best enjoyed with a side of sex toys.

Holly has no time for romance-when she has the itch, she works it off with nameless one night stands, at least she does until she meets Ben. She refuses to let her heart get involved, but lots of over the top, no strings sex, with Ben and eventually his two friends/lovers is something she is on board with. As for Ben, he is footloose and free as a bird, and he likes it that way-so why is Holly stuck in his mind day and night? I love the dynamic here, with the woman clearly in charge and making the decisions, even those she is unsure of. I enjoyed watching as Holly's wall slowly crumbled, and Ben got more involved in trying to convince her they could be good together. There isn't much these four don't try, but when Holly misunderstands, she could lose everything, including her heart. A must read holiday book.

Book 2 in the Smutketeers three-novella series A Kinky Christmas Carol!

Not So Tiny Tim

Avoiding the future…

Video game mogul, philanthropist and heir to the Knight empire, Tim Crichton has three F-zones—the friend zone, the family zone, and the, er… fun-buddy zone. No crossover is allowed because it might create a fourth—the forever zone—and Tim knows forever just isn’t in the cards for him.
Miranda Girard has always known she and Tim were meant to be together, but when she got tired of waiting and made a move, he rejected her. Now it’s time for their Christmas reunion dinner and she’s damn well going to put on a happy face and attend—after she stops at the bar for a little liquid courage.
Peter Vaughn can’t wait for his new house to be finished so he can move out of Tim’s apartment—living with a man he wants and can’t have gets old quick. But work on the house has ground to a halt and he’s stuck there until after the new year.
It all seems hopeless until a jolly old doorman nudges Peter and Miranda together, and a little Christmas magic quickly escalates to a scorching holiday encounter that will either rescue Tim from a lonely future…or cost him the two most important people in his life.
Reader Advisory: Contains 30% more cheese and 20% less kink than your usual Robin L. Rotham fare. (It’s Christmas, people!) Also contains ménage, m/m, mild BDSM elements, four ice-skates, three lovebirds, two black towers, and a doorman with a plan.

Tim Crichton has kept himself secluded from life, fearing that he will end up hurting those he cares most for. He has made no secret of the fact that he is bisexual, but refuses to let himself love anyone. His past, with two bouts of cancer, convinced him he doesn't have the right to be happy and in love, because he can't face hurting those most important to him; the man he loves, Peter Vaughn, and the woman he has always loved, Miranda Girard. When Miranda and Peter hook up, Tim thinks it is for the best, but then why is he so miserable about it? The two people he loves most now have a chance to be happy, just not with him. When he walks in on them, Peter convinces him to give Miranda a night she will remember-with both of them.
I really enjoyed watching as Peter took over, and controlled the passion and emotions that Tim had held inside for so long, and seeing these three together was a delight. I was worried for a bit that Tim would never wake up to the passion he was missing, but watching as these three finally found true love was worth the wait.

Book Three in the Smutketeers Kinky Christmas Carol series

Marley In Chains

Running from the past…

Marley Knight-Williams has avoided the ghosts of her past for seventeen years. Now, after one thoughtless decision and too many margaritas, they’ve found her. Her memories, her heartache…and her men. Just in time for the holidays.
Boxer and gym owner Michael O’Shea is at the end of his rope. When his best friend Carlos comes home from serving his country, he’s a changed man—broken and wounded, inside and out. Michael knows there is only one person who can bring him back, one person who can make this a Christmas they will all remember. And he’ll do whatever it takes to bring her around.
Even if he has to break out the chains.
Time has changed them all, but it’s only banked the embers of their passion, and when the flames flare to life, they burn hotter than ever. Will the heat be enough to sear away the obstacles that stand between them? Or will it drive them apart before they can finish what they started all those years ago?
Warning: These characters shocked the author...Just sayin’…Menage and explicit sex. Schoolboy fantasies given a kinky adult twist. Voyeurism and exhibitionism. Spin the bottle, spanking, dirty sexting, and chains. Pervertable use of a poor innocent cane. Romance and magic and holiday love. With special guest appearances by Bob, Other Bob and Better Bob.

After a disastrous experience with the two men she loved most in the world, Marley Knight-Williams ran, rather than face the truth-that she wanted an unconventional life with both men. Seventeen years later, Michael O'Shea, one of her ghosts from that long ago time, finds her to ask a favor. The other in their would be triad has come home at last, from serving his country. But Carlos is broken inside, and Michael is convinced only Marley can fix him. Marley isn't sure she can even fix herself, but agrees to Carlos' terms with some trepidation.
I enjoyed watching as Marley began to realize that she needed these two men, that just one wouldn't do. When Michael thinks she loves only Carlos, he is willing to step aside, and I love that about him; his unselfish loyalty to a friend, his willingness to forfeit a chance at happiness with Marley to save his friend. I liked watching these three as they discovered they could have it all.

These three books should be read every single Christmas, to warm your heart (and other body parts as well) My rating is for all three books, as they are all worthy of it.

The Christmas Dare

Today is the Super Book Blast for Joan Chandler's The Christmas Dare, a Contemporary Mainstream Romance (spicy imprint) available December 19, 2012 from Siren-Bookstrand Publishing. No interview or blog post, but I do have the author's bio, a blurb and an excerpt to share. Joan will be awarding a $25 Amazon or Barnes & Noble gift card, winner's choice, to a randomly drawn commenter during the tour, so remember to leave your email address when you comment.

Joan Chandler is a Florida native who has lived in the Deep South all of her life. She is married with two children who are her pride and joy. She lives a double life of sorts, holding down a nine-to-five job during the day, and writing steamy romance at night—often with her black cat curled up in her arms as she types.

When she’s not spending her spare time working on her next novel, she loves to go camping, sharing girls’ night out with her friends, walking her two dogs, and watching football.

BLURB:
Self-professed Christmas addict Gia Dixon, and by-the-book Ethan Castle have been best friends all their lives. When tragedy strikes Ethan’s family, Gia’s the rock he depends on to pull him through the darkest days. Then, a shared, long-forgotten memory leads to an unexpected yet tender kiss.  Can a simple Christmas dare help them find true love?

Excerpt:

Funny how times had changed, Gia thought to herself. How was it possible to have gone all these years and not have thought of him romantically? Yet now all she wanted to do was steal a minute alone to kiss him again. Or more.

She saw headlights coming down the road and opened the door, preparing to walk out to meet him.

“No, ma’am,” she heard Ethan call out. He was already getting out of his Jeep and motioned for her to turn around and go back inside.

She was unsure what to make of it, but did as he asked. Then she heard the doorbell ring.  Slowly she opened the door, and saw his smiling face. She backed up a step to allow him to walk inside.

“We may be taking things slow, but I’m still going to do it the right way. When I ask you out on a date, I’ll park and come to your door. If this were seven years ago and you were living at home, your dad would have kicked my ass if he ever caught me letting you just walk out to the curb to get in my car.”

Gia could easily recall the many times her father had complained about that when other boys had done it to her.

“How right you are. My mistake.” She laughed. “From now on I’ll expect to be courted properly according to the Henry Dixon Dating Manual.”

“Besides, stealing a quick moment alone behind closed doors gives me the opportunity to do this.” He pulled her into his embrace to softly kiss her.

When their lips parted, she commented, “I don’t think Daddy had that in mind when he made up that particular rule. But you score extra points for showing initiative.”

Nice! Looks like I'll be adding to my ever growing wish list *again* Just can't seem to stop finding books I really want to read. Thanks to Joan for the chance to feature her book here today. Remember to leave your email address when you comment.

Everyone knows I adore R. G. Alexander's writing, and this time of year, I love to enjoy holiday stories. So what could be better than a hot tale for the season, and all told with R. G.'s wit and smutty joy for life? And even better, Four for Christmas is going to be FREE for the next five days, starting today!!! So if you haven't had a chance to read it, now's the time to grab a copy. And she has a new Christmas story out this year, part of a three book set from R.G. and fellow Smutketeers Eden Bradley and Robin L. Rotham. Look for Marley in Chains (R.G.), Getting Scrooged (Eden) and Not So Tiny Tim (Robin) at an ebook seller near you.

Dreaming of a White Christmas led her straight into their arms…

In this holiday spin off of the bestselling novella Three For Me? Saving a man in a snowstorm leads Georgia Bale to an isolated cabin, where three men have an important promise to keep. A promise Georgia soon becomes caught up in herself.

She just wanted to survive Christmas, and her bad holiday karma. She had no idea that accepting a friend’s invitation to Colorado would lead her to her perfect man. Times three.

What does an eccentric writer do when a compassionate doctor, a dominant police officer, and a handsome adrenaline junkie only have eyes for her?
Use her imagination.

But when the storm clears, she’ll have to decide which path to take. The way back home, or the road less traveled.

Warning: A bit of heart tugging, excessive use of imagination, role playing (the dirty kind), foursomes, holiday magic, a guardian angel or two… and the kinky use of holiday themed beverages.

Around this time of year, I like to read holiday themed romances to bring out my holiday spirit and get into the mood to celebrate. When R.G. asked for folks to review her Christmas story, I jumped at the chance, since I love her work, and knew I be in for a treat. What I didn't expect was the amount of emotion this one brought out in me. R.G. grabbed my heart and tugged on all those pesky heartstrings, making me laugh, cry and sigh at the antics and emotions of her characters. I love these people-Chris, James and Flynn are all delectable, and a woman would be lucky to win one of them. But Georgia, that lucky girl, wins the hearts of all three, and the road to true love is never bumpier than it is here.

When Georgia decides to visit old friend Connie in the Colorado Mountains, she has no idea what awaits her, and is positive her Christmas curse has struck again when she gets a flat tire on the side of the road in a blizzard. When her dog, Roux, finds a gorgeous hunk unconscious in the woods, Georgia comes to the rescue. Then Patrolman Jimmy rescues them all, and takes Georgia back to the cabin he and his brothers live in to make sure she is okay. When Doc tells her she is snowed in with them, things start to really get interesting.
Because this is R.G., I expected the hot and sexy action, but there was a soft and spiritual undertone of something, or someone, working behind the scenes to bring these four wounded souls together, and that is where the tears and sighs come in. I could not put this down once I got started, and I used a fair amount of tissues along the way. But, in case you think this is a sad story, get that thought out of your head. This is hot, and sweet, and totally uninhibited in places, and I promise you won't soon forget the folks in this charming and sexy story.

Get 'Devoured' by Emily Snow

Untitled

As I said last week, after Emily's interview, I was going to sit down, relax and read this one...take my time, leisurely enjoy the book and give my opinion of it. Anyone who has ever read any of my reviews knows that I give honest opinions, and try very hard to avoid spoilers, and this will be no exception.

For some reason lately, I've been reading a lot of books featuring hot rockers, and this one fits right in with the others I've read. First, a reminder of the book with the blurb and excerpt, then I will get down to my thoughts.

Devoured

Emily Snow

Blurb:
Sienna Jensen had no plans to return home when she graduated college last spring—after all, her dreams lie in California. But when she discovers her grandmother’s Nashville home has been foreclosed, and the new owner has started the eviction process, Sienna has no other choice but go back to Music City. And she comes face to face with the flawed, gorgeous man she never thought she’d see again. The man who now holds the deed to her grandma’s estate.

When millionaire rock star Lucas Wolfe finds the outspoken redhead glaring at him from across a courtroom, he’s both infuriated and intrigued. He still can't get the night Sienna almost spent with him out of his mind, and the chemistry between them is as undeniable as it was two years ago. He craves Sienna more than ever. And just like everything Lucas hungers for, he’s determined to have her.

Now, Lucas will do whatever it takes to lure Sienna into his bed, even if that means making a deal with her: ten days with him, playing by his rules, and he’ll hand over the deed to her grandmother’s home. Though she agrees to the arrangement, Sienna is conflicted. Because of her duty to her family. Because of promises she’s made to herself and a past that still haunts her. And as Lucas’s game of seduction continues, and Sienna is introduced to his dark, erotic world and even darker background, she realizes that at any moment, she could be devoured.

*This novel contains adult situations and content*

Excerpt:
He doesn’t cup my face or touch my hair or anything romantic like that. He roams his hand down my body, over the curve of my hips, until he’s between my legs, his palm pressing against my panties. He draws his mouth away from mine. “Fuck me, you’re wet,” he says. “Say the words.”
“No.”
“Turn around, and play. Same as before and don’t stop,” he orders.
I expect him to take his hands away from me when I start, but he doesn’t. I’m one chord in when his fingers slide under my panties. Three measures when he pushes one finger inside me. I gasp and he growls in my ear.
“Don’t. Fucking. Stop.”
He slips another finger inside of my body, and then moves his hand, hard and fast. Back and forth until I swear I’m dying. I whimper. He breathes heavily into my hair, and I curve my bottom toward him. He’s hard. He’s so fucking hard that I’m suddenly grinding against his hand. And the moment his calloused thumb presses on my clit, I come. I slump against the keyboard on my elbows, my ass in the air. I don’t have it in me to play anymore, but I don’t think he could give two shits. He’s staring down at me with his lips pressed into a thin line and all I can think of is how I want them and his tongue on me.
And my mouth on him.
“Lucas, I want yo—”
“Go to bed, Sienna.”
Carefully, he pulls his fingers out of my body, and I shudder again. Though my flesh feels like it’s scorching, I manage to stand upright. “No,” I say.
“Let’s try this the way you’re familiar with then: Get the fuck out. I need to work and like I’ve told you before, you’re fucking horrible for music.”
Something sharp and prickly twists my chest. He knows exactly what to say to piss me off. I want to tell him he’s the dumbass who came up with this arrangement in the first place, but I choke back the words. All he’ll do is turn it back on me and remind me why I agreed, throw the deed in my face. I keep my face emotionless and my hands clenched by my sides as I say, “Good night, Mr. Wolfe.”
As I leave the room, I become aware that my panties are still pushed aside. And that as long as I’m around Lucas, he’ll keep consuming me until there’s nothing left.

Devoured is a bit of a challenge to read and review. I want to say so much, but I don't want to give away the things that make this such a compelling story. The characters, both Lucas and Sienna, are not just one dimensional characters. Lucas Wolfe is the quintessential rock star, but there is also something vulnerable about him, in spite of his seemingly dominant and controlling facade. At first glimpse, Sienna seems to be the good girl, the one everyone takes advantage of because she lets them do it. But there is more beneath their carefully crafted fronts, and this story shows what has made them who and what they are.

When  Sienna goes to Tennessee to help her Gram fight to keep her house, the last person she expects to be causing this heartbreaking problem is Lucas Wolfe, rock star and the one man Sienna said 'No' to a couple of years before. When Lucas suggests a way for Sienna to earn back her Gram's home, with no sex involved, will Sienna take the chance, or will she let the past color all of her future? Can she learn the lesson Lucas is trying to teach her...that it is okay to stand up for yourself, but there is also a time to submit to others, when it really matters?

The supporting cast her is every bit as engaging as our star players. Lucas' sister Kylie, Sienna's California friend Tori, and even Gram and Sienna's brother Seth add to the overall enjoyment. Each of these characters brings a new angle, or a new challenge to Sienna, and I enjoyed watching her grow into the strong and independent woman Lucas saw in her.

If there is anything I was less than happy with, it was that not all of the problems were completely resolved by the end of the story. I would have loved a bit more background on why Seth is like he is - after all, both he and Sienna shared the bad times growing up, so I thought he should have been a bit less judgmental of her. And the only other complaint...well not really complaint but I just wish the situation with Lucas' ex would have been resolved at the end.

This is one I couldn't put down once I got started. It is fast paced, and I looked forward to what would happen next between Sienna and Lucas. I do recommend this one for all of those rock music fans who just don't get enough of those hot bad boys.

Emily will be giving away one e-book of DEVOURED at every blog stop. A grand prize of a $100.00 gift card will be awarded at the end of the tour to one winner. In order to be entered in the grand prize, the followers will need to fill out the PunchTab form.

Is There 'Lust After Death'? Ask Daisy Harris

Today is the irrepresible Daisy Harris, with a quick look at the first of her Love-Bots books from Ellora's Cave, Lust After Death. I have read this one, and can say, in all honesty, that I really enjoyed it a lot. Definitely a different twist on the whole 'reanimation' idea, that's for sure. Daisy will be awarding a $20 gift certificate to Amazon or Barnes and Noble and a Walking Dead T-Shirt to a randomly drawn commenter during the tour (US & Canada Only).
Birkenstock-wearing glamour girl and mother of two by immaculate conception, Daisy Harris still isn't sure if she writes erotica. Her romances start out innocently enough. However, her characters behave like complete sluts. Much to Miss Harris's dismay the sex tends to get completely out of hand.
She writes about fantastical creatures and about young men getting their freak on, and she's never missed an episode of The Walking Dead.

Lust After Death Blurb

In the Pacific Northwest, where life hurries to keep pace with technology, a re-animated bride named Josie struggles to escape her creator and to find her identity in the half-erased circuitry of her mind and body.

Assassin Bane Connor just wants to get the girl to the Zombie Underground and receive his payoff-a mental reset that will erase his memories as well as his guilt. But an attack by a rival faction derails his rescue, and the wide-eyed female whose circuitry requires a husband tears at his hardened heart and ignites desire like he's never known.
Lust After Death Excerpt
She peered down at her wet fingers, confusion etched on her angelic face, and then she gave her digit a tentative lick. Eyes wide with surprise, the girl fed her finger farther into the bow of her mouth.
Ho-ly shit! His body sprung to attention, his nerve endings strung taut as a bow.
Feeling like a peeping tom, Bane looked away from the window, assessing the pebbles below his crates and a nearby bank of leaves and weeds he could land on quietly. Then he gave a last glance through the window and noticed her hand caressing the water’s surface.
A fascinated smile played at her lips. Damn, she was beautiful, and not in some fake plastic surgery and programming way. She was fresh, shiny, new—like she held the keys to paradise.
Fuck, he was drunk. The crates wobbled underneath him and Bane let go of the windowsill with one hand, readying to jump. Really, he was leaving.
Her ivory hand slid up her hospital gown and tugged at the tie. The blue-striped, papery material sank from her shoulders to the floor, revealing a pale, slender body that seemed to shimmer under the bright bathroom lights.
Bane bit his bottom lip to stop from groaning out loud. His hips bucked forward of their own accord. The crates tilted to the side and he grabbed at the windowsill’s metal edging to right himself. His arms supported his weight and he trapped the top crate between his legs and pulled the pile back under his body, desperate for one more look. By the time he righted himself, the girl had turned her back on him to step into the tub.
If he’d thought the front of her was nice… Her back was long and delicate, her ass spectacular. Goose bumps rose on her skin and he could almost imagine the feel of them under his fingertips. The girl must have wondered about the water's temperature, because she bent forward at the hips to test it.
His right hand dropped to cup the bulge in his pants. He was a douche and a pervert. And he would jack off to this image for the rest of his undead life. Which, now that he thought about it, would only be a few more days.

I Need You For Christmas

I Need You For Christmas
Leah Braemel
Carina Press

Today I am giving y'all a look at Leah Braemel's hot holiday story, I Need You For Christmas. First I'll be giving y'all a peek at an excerpt, then I'll tell you what I think of this one. This is also available in a three story holiday book from Carina Press, with stories by Anne Calhoun and K. A. Mitchell, along with Leah's story, and all three are available separately as well. Leah is giving away a Kindle Fire for the tour overall. You  will need to enter at her website:  www.leahbraemel.com and fill out the Rafflecopter.  She is also giving away a backlist copy of one of her books for each blog.  The contest can run throughout the tour, so be sure to leave your e-mail address along with a comment.

Blurb:

Ryan Porter is a sculptor, and beneath his callused hands, even the most rigid metals bend to his will. So, too, does his girlfriend Megan--a confident, strong woman who delights in submitting to Ryan's dominance in the bedroom.
Megan is a Mountie, and she's spent the past few years in the Arctic following her career dreams. Family obligations kept Ryan at home, but their love survived the distance thanks to several hot visits. A Mountie always gets her man, and Megan is bound and determined to keep Ryan.
Now Megan's with Ryan for the holidays...but how long will this visit last? She's always been willing to do anything Ryan desires, but will he finally tell her that all he needs for Christmas is her?

Excerpt:

He lowered her head and kissed the soft skin beneath her ear. “I love you.”
I always have. I always will.
Her breath hitched when his hand dipped beneath the water and over her belly. Her legs fell open, pressing against his, as his fingers continued their journey over her mound and between her folds. He toyed with her clit, teasing it until her pulse sped up. When he speared her sheath with two fingers, her hips arched into his hand, causing water to slosh up dangerously close to the top.
“Oh God, yeah.” She writhed against him, rubbing her ass against his erect cock in an erotic torture.
On occasion he wished he was a photographer, that he could capture the dreamy expression on her face as she started to come, could forever immortalize the creamy hue of her breasts with their cinnamon nipples now taut and hard. Oh he could sculpt her expression and her face, but it would be hard marble, which couldn't capture the warmth, or clay, which couldn't match the softness. But no camera, drawing or sculpture could convey how her body clenched and rippled around his fingers in sync with the soft puffs of breath with each stroke. Nor could they capture the heady scent of her arousal, or the spicy taste of the cream coating his fingers.
Her moans vibrated through him, echoing off the marble walls, until his balls drew up close to his body. He’d had to satisfy himself with hand-jobs since he’d seen her last, and as much as he wanted to bury his cock deep in her body, this time was all about her needs, not his.

Whew!! That is a hot one, for sure. I have to tell you, I do love Leah's style. Her characters are well developed and real, with insecurities and fears just like the rest of us. And this story brings home the old but true belief that nothing can mess up a good relationship faster than lack of communication. When Ryan and Megan try to second guess each other, they both lose sight of what is important - their love for each other.
Megan's dream has always been to become a member of the RCMP, and now she wants nothing more than to be with Ryan. But being with him means changing her dream a bit, and joining the Ontario Provincial Police, and staying with Ryan. But she wants to surprise him with the news, and keeps her secret well hidden.
Ryan has decided he's tired of being apart from Megan, and makes plans of his own, plans to give up his teaching and move up to her home base. but he hasn't told her his plans, either.
I love this story, a hot and passionate updating of the O Henry story, Gift of the Magi. Each is willing to give up their most precious thing to be with the one person who means the world to them. But by not communicating, they almost lose sight of their love, and what makes them work so well as a couple. I loved watching these two try so hard to keep their secrets, and each feeling that  the other was pulling away.
The supporting cast was also terrific, with so much love between the family members, you could just feel how they all were so close. And Leah Braemel can do hot like nobody else does it. Do these two finally reveal their secrets and find that happily ever after we all want? You need to read I Need You For Christmas to find out.

Devoured VBT Interview with Emily Snow

Untitled

Today is the first of two stops in the Devoured Book Tour, with my interview with Emily Snow. Emily was nice enough to answer my usual questions for this, although not quite as long as I usually go. Emily will be giving away one e-book of DEVOURED at every blog stop. A grand prize of a $100.00 gift card will be awarded at the end of the tour to one winner. In order to be entered for the grand prize, the commenters will need to fill out the form.

First a very brief bio of Emily Snow, then on with the show.

A native of Southwest Virginia, I'm the 26-year-old author of the forthcoming DEVOURED series   (2012) and CONFESSIONS OF A FRAT GIRL(2013). I love books, sexy bad boys, and really loud rock music, so naturally, I write stories about all three.

What is the best thing about being a writer? The worst?

The best thing is definitely all the incredible people I’ve gotten to meet since publishing Devoured. I’ve found that the romance community is so freaking supportive and welcoming, and that means so much to me. The worst? That there’s only 24 hours in a day! I have so many ideas for new books right now but I can only write one or two at a time.

When you get a chance to read, what books do you love to read?

EVERYTHING! Seriously—I read just about every genre, from romance to paranormal to young adult to the classics. Right now, I’m re-reading Washington Square and I just bought Down To You and The Perks of Being a Wallflower (I feel like everyone’s read that one but me). My husband says I spend too much money on books. *Drops voice to a whisper* He may have a point.

If you could share one major writing tip, to help other writers in their quest for publication, what would it be?

Write for yourself—write the story that’s true to you and your characters.

If you could write in any other genre what would it be, and why?

Epic fantasy! I love the world-building, and I’ve always been a bit of a fantasy nerd. Okay, I’m an enormous fantasy nerd. Plus, I’m a HUGE Game of Thrones fan (both the books and the TV show) and George R. R. Martin writes this gorgeous, kick-ass world that keeps me reading until I fall asleep with the book hitting me in the face!

If you had to do it all over again, would you change anything in your latest book?

To be honest, I would have probably made Devoured a dual point of view novel. Lucas is so guarded and secretive that I think it would have been so much fun (and very frustrating!) to get into his head just a little more!

Let’s talk characters. If you could cast an actor/actress for your leads, who would they be and do you have someone in mind as you write your characters?

One of the first things I do when I sit down to write a book is “cast my novel.” I like to have a vivid image of my main characters because it helps me so much. For Devoured, I cast Deborah Ann Woll as Sienna. I love her on True Blood as Jessica, and she’s got this sexy/innocent/sarcastic vibe that’s perfect for Si. When it came to Lucas, I totally pictured Jared Padalecki. I might just be in love with him, but shhh, don’t tell my husband!

Ooh, remember that time you’ve tried so hard to forget? That excruciatingly embarrassing moment, when you wished the floor would open up and swallow you. That time when you blushed fifteen different shades of scarlet. Go on then.  Don’t be shy. Tell us all about it.

Well . . . I know my mother searches for me on Google, so I’ll sum this up in as few words as possible. Naked. Backseat of my friend with benefits SUV (who is now my husband, btw). His dad showing up. Did I mention naked?
I still have a hard time facing his dad without wondering if he’s picturing me bare-assed and this was nine years ago! :P

Thank you so much for interviewing me and for being a part of my blog tour. You rock so hard!

Thank you for stopping by...and I promise not to tell anyone about your most embarrassing moment, it will be just between us here.

Oh, this one sounds delicious...and I will be back next week with my review of Devoured, so I will certainly give you the heads up for it then.
